KPFK is part of Pacifica...so....pay up High, too high ?

What happens at it's central network offices and with the PNB Pacifica Nat'l Board decisions affects KPFK in allllllll ways, especially with all the financial $$$$ debts, discrepancies, equipment thefts [at WBAI-NY]. or lawsuits, plus audits, non-paid pensions, 

but: all that is NOT WHAT DONORS TO KPFK THINK THEY ARE PAYING THEIR DUES & PLEDGES FOR...
at all !!!

"the  PNB  board also approved the hire of  Tom Livingston", labeled as: 'an experienced public media executive', "to take over the executive director position " -  
[not as indicated as being an 'interim' one].

No information about his experiences, attitudes, vetting process, nor qualifications were documented for stakeholders eyes or minds tho. 

( a brief search may reveal a bit, not much, of who this may be....he who dares enter the morass already created by others who expect him to solve now ...huh?

Notice that he is NOT listed in Wikipedia, although some Pacifica programmers of no celebrity have their own pages therein, giving them that status without any biographical information listed though...apparently the Wikipedia page they created was to give them undue and maybe undeserved importance - they remain unnamed,tho are part of KPFK.

Still, having a fancy broadcasting license does not give KPFK and it's donors/ stakeholders any  financial stability  - nor protections from debts incurred by others. 

Even those  that KPFK stakeholders are now surprised to be REQUIRED TO ALSO pay up !

This surprise came recently as WBAI's legal judgement for rent at the Empire State bldg that were negotiated previously by WBAI managers, signed and then that station was unable to pay full...and is probably still going to be liable for it's ongoing lease...for years forward too !!!!

That means KPFK keeps on paying for nothing within the LA area or it's bandwidth or it's programers or management's reach either .
